1-800-GET-LIMO is an offshoot of one of the most successful ground transportation referral services in history: 1-800-TAXICAB. We have developed what we believe is the simplest way to connect to quality local limousine operators nationwide. Simply dial 1-800-GET-LIMO and enter the 3 digit area code where you need service. Quickly connect to limo operators for all legs of your journey: the departure, the arrival and any stop-overs in-between.

 

Company Policies

These policies are in addition to the Service Terms and Conditions. In the event of a conflict between these and the Service Terms and Conditions, then the Service Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

All Advertisers (also alternatively referred to as transportation company "Affiliates"), are required to be:

a. Properly Licensed by all appropriate legal authorities.

b. Properly Insured in accordance with applicable legal requirements and industry standards.

c. Operating their transportation service in accordance with the highest industry standards, with impeccably maintained late model vehicles and well-trained chauffeurs.

d. Offer easily-accessible, published passenger rates available online. These rates must not be misleading or deceptive.

e. Offer commercially reasonable cancellation and refund policies.

Affiliates may not use the trademark "1-800-GET-LIMO" as a trade name or business name.

1-800-GET-LIMO Licensed Marks Usage Guidelines (the “Guidelines”)
January 2009 Edition

1-800-GET-LIMO has two overriding objectives:  a) to create the easiest method for passengers to reach local limousine services, and b) to connect passengers to the very best limousine providers, those that appreciate and hold dear the great responsibility they play in the function of their local communities and strive for excellence in customer service. 

The registered trademark “1-800-GET-LIMO” in part represents a referral service connecting passengers to top-quality limousine providers by means of the easiest-to-use and easiest-to-remember toll-free number.

At the same time, “1-800-GET-LIMO” shall not be used by Affiliate as a brand for the operation of limousine services.  In no occasion should a Affiliate use the 1-800-GET-LIMO marks (hereinafter the Licensed Marks) as a trade name or in any manner that may suggest a brand of limo services. The Licensed Marks are to be used to indicate that the Affiliate is a recipient of referrals from the 1-800-GET-LIMO® referral service, and, as such, meets the levels of standards that all recipients meet or exceed.

These Guidelines do NOT speak to Affiliate advertising or marketing that does not incorporate the Licensed Marks.  Affiliates are NOT obligated to follow these prescriptions EXCEPT in connection with their use of the Licensed Marks.  Affiliates ARE obligated to follow the Guidelines in connection with ANY use of the Licensed Marks.

In advertising and marketing in connection with the Licensed Marks, Affiliates should be guided by the following basic principles, which underlie the Guidelines:

  1. The Licensed Marks signify excellence in the limousine industry by independent local limousine operators, but does not represent a branded limousine service operation or customer experience.

 

  1. The Licensed Marks signify the single source of the easiest-to-use and easiest-to-remember method of reaching a limousine, nationwide.
  1. The Licensed Mark should always be used in a uniform manner consistent with the Licensor guidelines.

 

  1. All advertising in connection with the Licensed Mark should be truthful, accurate and completely honest.
  1. Advertising in connection with the Licensed Mark should adhere to contemporary standards of good taste applicable to all commercial advertising and consistent with the medium or context in which the advertising appears.

 

  1. Advertising themes, creative aspects, and placements in connection with the Licensed Mark should reflect the fact that Affiliates are responsible corporate citizens in their local communities fulfilling a major role by providing an every-ready source of transportation.
  1. Use of the Promotional Materials should always be in accordance with local regulations, including without limitation those applying to vehicle decals, vehicle dress or outdoor advertising.

 

Affirmative Requirements:

These requirements apply to all Affiliate advertising and marketing materials that incorporate the Licensed Marks, including Internet and cyberspace media. 

  1. The Licensed Marks should be used in a manner to portray that the Affiliate receives referrals from the 1-800-GET-LIMO Marketing Services.

 

  1. The Licensed Marks should be used in accordance with the usage guidelines of Licensor and with prior approval.
  1. Vehicles depicted in advertising and marketing in connection with the Licensed Marks should be clean, late model, well painted, and well maintained vehicles, and in all cases should accurately reflect the type of vehicles comprising the Licensor fleet.  Vehicles should not be depicted that are not clean, late model, well painted, and well maintained.

 

The following restrictions apply to all Affiliate advertising incorporating the Licensed Marks.

  1. Affiliate shall NEVER use the Licensed Marks as a trade name.

 

  1. Affiliate shall NEVER use the Licensed Marks without simultaneous prominent use of Affiliate’s Trade Name.  Affiliate’s Trade Name shall always be more prominent than the use of the Licensed Marks.
  1. Affiliate advertising incorporating the Licensed Marks should not create the impression that the Affiliate is a franchisee of Licensor, or that the network of Affiliates are part of a franchise.

 

  1. Affiliate advertising incorporating the Licensed Marks should not create the impression that the Affiliate is part of the same company, a subsidiary, under joint ownership, or join venture with Licensor, or are part of the same company, a subsidiary, under joint ownership, or join venture with Licensor.
  1. Affiliate advertising incorporating the Licensed Marks should not create the impression that Affiliate is under Licensor’s control.

 

  1. Affiliate advertising incorporating the Licensed Marks should not create the impression that the referral service to Affiliate is anything other than an easy-to-use referral service connecting passengers to top-quality independent, local limousine services.
  1. Affiliate advertising and marketing materials incorporating the Licensed Marks should not contain language or images that are lewd or indecent in the context presented and the medium in which the material appears.

 

  1. Affiliate’s advertising and marketing materials incorporating the Licensed Marks shall not contain any statement or material which may be in bad taste.
  1. Affiliate advertising and marketing materials incorporating the Licensed Marks should not portray sexually explicit activity.

 

  1. Advertising involving the Licensed Marks should not directly depict the consumption of alcohol.
  1. Affiliate advertising and marketing materials incorporating the Licensed Marks should not portray unsafe driving or any other characteristic inconsistent with excellent limousine service and excellent customer service.

 

  1. Affiliate advertising and marketing materials incorporating the Licensed Marks should not employ religion or religious themes.
  1. Affiliate advertising and marketing materials incorporating the Licensed Marks should not disparage competing limousine services.

 

  1. Affiliate advertising and marketing materials incorporating the Licensed Marks should not disparage other Affiliates.
  1. Affiliates will not approve product placement incorporating the Licensed Marks where the movie or television program or other content in question depicts limousine services or limousine chauffeurs in a negative or unflattering light.
